Home Hardening

  • Our general contractors license allows us to address fire safety concerns of your home in addition to the land. Home hardening is the strategic use of building materials and methods used to resist the intrusion of flames or embers projected by a wildland fire, and reduce the chance of home ignition. Home hardening techniques can be used in new construction or for remodeling and retrofitting an older home.

  • Examples are replacing a wooden patio with non-combustible material, installing hard scape directly around the permitter of your home, replacing single pane with double pane windows, or simpler actions such as cleaning gutters and moving wood piles away from the home.
